As a native of Chesapeake ( Vernon) and Portsmouth (Chene) Virginia, Vernon brings over a decade of experience in residential, commercial, and new construction projects. In 2022, we founded Avant General Contracting to serve as a valuable resource for homeowners seeking quality remodeling services. Our mission is to help the community achieve their dream homes affordably, focusing on creating value rather than offering the highest price or compromising on quality with low-cost options.

Vernon, is a Husband, Father, Son, and Brother. Chene, is a Wife, Mother, Daughter, and sister. Both are big on God, family, tradition, and values. The Avant’s have built a loving family of four children Micayla, Maya, Jayden, and Julian. As an Entrepreneurial family ;Vernon a Caterer (Up In Smoke Catering LLC.) and Carpenter (Avant General Contracting LLC.) and Chene a Real estate Broker and partner at (Harte and Home Realty) and Partner of their other two businesses, they are a hardworking Loving family who has a servant attitude in their family as well as in their businesses. The Avant’s attend Relevant Church in VA Beach, where the Great Apostle JL Simpson and Pastor Ginger Simpson teach.
